Review

We were first-time buyers: We looked long and hard for just the right hot tub before buying, with a ton of internet research and lots of in-store browsing. We learned early on that where you buy your tub from is the most important thing, due to service. We finally decided to buy a Sundance from The Great Escape (formerly Pool-O-Rama)due to the reputation for good service. Sure enough, when out Optima arrived, there were some small problems with the tub, which were probably just due to the shipping. They were great, cane out right away, and the tub has been running perfect ever since. We live in Chicago, so we decided to get a gazebo for th tub, so that we can enjoy it rain, snow, or otherwise. We decided to buy the gazebo from Alliance Woodcraft, and purchased it through an internet distributor named the Backyard King. It's fabulous. Out tub included a stereo, and I would highly recommend that hot tub buyers consider this option, because it prevents a lot of potential problems with hooking up your own music. This way, everything's already up and running, without GFCI electrical considerations for your own stereo.

I highly recommend buying as large a tub as possible, room is important. I also recommend NOT buying a lounger seat for your tub; it takes up too much room, and with a biggger tub, you can recline in it anyway. I ABSOLUTELY recommend doing a wet test on the tub that you're going to buy. It's too big of an investment to not try it first. Just go to the store at opening or closing, when they are slow, bring a suit, and jump in. If the store does not allow wet testing, I would never recommend buying your tub from them. Have fun.
