I started my search for hot tubs a few months ago - I started online. I kept bumping into Hot Spring on all the search engines. I liked their site - found it to be very informative (I also used Spasearch.org). I went to my local retailer, and took a "test soak" - I highly recommend doing this. Went to a few other retailers too - Sundance spas and Cal Spas. I was really sold on Hot Spring's manufacturing process. The spa was more pricey than other brands, however I was told that the Hot Springs was very energy efficient - which would save me money in the long run. They seemed to have a good reputation (consumers digest ratings).
The spa features everything I wanted - lighting, a stereo and really good jets.
So far so good. Try whatsthebest.com and also spasearch.org
